The author is writing a series of books on World War II with a focus on the Eastern Front, which occurred between German and the Soviet Union during World War II. This book focuses on the Battle of Stalingrad, which is one of the most brutal battles on the Eastern Front if not the most brutal battle of all of World War II on the Eastern Front. Stalingrad cannot be emphasized enough because it was the major turning point of World War II. With the German defeat at Stalingrad, the Soviets shattered the idea that the German Army was invincible by defeating the German 6th Army, the German 6th Army had played a pivotal role in the fall of France in 1940. When the Soviets defeated the German 6th Army, it showed that the Soviets were going to win the war, which was a huge morale boost to the Soviet people while the German defeat was the German people to realize that the German military was in a bad shape, and that they would lose the war.
