Because of a series of misunderstandings, false accusations and semi-serious water battles, bitter rivals Bode and Jared are headed for the final showdown both expected and welcomed, until it happened in the middle of one of Central Ohio's hottest summers. East and West Buckeye Estates had been feuding since the day the east half was built. The west was built first, and the east was merely intruders to the west when they moved in, or "others" as they came to be called. The east, quick to gain an attitude of its own, formed an animosity towards the west. West Estates, led be Bode Catron would not let anyone from East Estates join in on pickup baseball or basketball. East Estates leader Jared Hanson and the rest retaliated by doing the same with their pickup soccer games. Though a series of misunderstanding i.e. a "stolen" baseball glove, misinterpreted graffiti, an incident at the skate park and two girls from the east being attacked with water balloons, the rivalry grew to all out war. East Estates struck first with an epic attack with water balloons and wave blasters. The West, not one to lie down, executed an even larger, precisely planned counterattack of their own and proved they could hit bigger, faster and stronger. To some, the water balloon battles were merely harmless fun. However, to Bode and Jared, they were personal.
