This is a collection of emails back and forth with my Mom who was reticent to talk about her family and past. While Dad shared openly (another book) about his history, Mom was a little less outgoing.To fill in pieces I received Mackie Arnett's "Childhood Memories", Mom's sister, which she wrote at my Mom's behest. Mom's answers and Mackie's writing have given me a better understanding of their young years and the culture and time in which they lived.
