Kora spent her life deep in the mountains, in a sleepy village plagued by tales of Gods and Monsters. With her heart and her Wrath at odds, will Kora bend to The Fates' desires, or will she tear herself free from a life of death and decay?

Wrath Grows Like A Pomegranate Seed

Um HELLO I am obsessed with this book! I normally don't resonate very much with first person povs, and I LOATHE reading on my phone (which is how I read it) and WHEN I TELL YOU I FLEW THROUGH THIS NOVEL. I love the heroine Kora. She is greedy and hungry and flawed and GOOD and full of feminine rage and I LOOOOOVE HER. Her character arc is so satisfying, and that opening prologue?! "The meek will not inherit the earth. I will." GO OFF, QUEEN!!! I WOULD FOLLOW YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH!!!!! I loved the personification of Wrath, and if you like spice, the romance in this novel is very well done!! ! appreciated that the romance took a backseat to the plot and Kora's character arc, instead of being the main focus, but when it got spicy, IT GOT SPICY!! For me personally, this is my IDEAL romantic retelling of Hades and Persephone.It also gave me Beauty and the Beast vibes which I am so here for. A Ballad of Wrath and Death is full of breathtaking imagery, wonderfully developed and likable characters, and my absolute favorite: TERRIFYING FLORAL MAGIC!!!!! There is so much to love about this book and these characters. I am foaming at the mouth for A Psalm of Reaping.
