The Ballad of Lucy Jordan

When Lucy wakes up in hospital, she starts screaming out for Adrien. The nurses assume this is the man waiting outside; only his name is Steve. Until now, Lucy had been able to keep able to keep her two lives separate. By day, a stay-at-home mother to two beautiful children, by night, an ambitious career woman who let nothing or no one get in her way.

Even after 15 years of marriage to Steve, it is Adrien that Lucy still pines for at night. She'd managed to put Adrien in the back of her mind until one day he announced he was back in town and wanted to meet for lunch. Rattled by the news, Lucy went out for some air and ended up at a different coffee shop than usual, when she unexpectedly saw Steve and realized he too had another life.

With Lucy barely coherent from her comatose state and making no sense, Steve is left with more questions than answers. Lucy knew the day would come where her worlds would collide, however she thought she had more time and could escape before coming clean. Though Lucy has had a plan all along, part of her wishes there was another way.
