The Bald-Headed Bear and the Puppy

By Cecil D. Hassell

"...There's no need to worry..."

The sound of a whining puppy reaches bear's ear;

She's lost in the woods, alone and full of fear.

The bald-headed bear, a bird and a bee

Set out to find the pup's family.

Each creature, from land to sky,

Has a gift that will dry a tear-stained eye.

In life, everyone has things they are naturally good at and other things that make life hard. This compassionate tale teaches the importance of helping others by using the gifts we are given. It may be as simple as lending a helping hand, a listening ear or an attentive eye.
