Description

In a fantastical Nigerian world not too different from today's, Kanda the rogue feral cat must pursue the good life reserved for humans and domestic cats. Kanda wants a big house and a king-sized bed where he can live in paradise with his lover, Guna.

But Kanda must fight to live on his own terms: fight, mischief, murder, and, maybe, a little kindness.

For Kanda to be this troublesome, he has to break the code of conduct for feral cats and establish friendship with a human boy, by name of Ekene The Boy. Kanda's relationship with humans sets him at odds with members of his church; where Kanda already has a messed reputation as a diehard fornicator and chef of mischief.

Kanda's dream of luxury makes him cross paths with a daredevil drug-dealing cat, who also doubles as a pimp. The murder of Kanda's lover by the pimp's crushers isn't enough to force Kanda into submission because he fancies himself a David who must defeat all Goliath.

In a twist of events, Kanda now realizes he isn't the baddest cat, after all; he must now have to fight the dreaded Don B, who is famous for skewing his enemies like a barbecue.

The question remains: does Kanda deserve mercy, or must he be ready to face Karma? Perhaps a newfound lover may save him and lead him back to the path of Redemption?

Or maybe, maybe, just maybe, Kanda isn't just wired to live a different life other than the one he has always known: fight, mischief, murder, and a little kindness. Which leaves us to question ourselves about life, love, the need for wisdom, and much more.
