This book is about 3 brothers and it tells their stories individually. Their names are Xavier, Darren, and Cameron Rossi. It seems that for some reason the brothers all like women that are already in a relationship, but they don't let that stop them. The first brother up is Xavier.
Xavier
Xavier was such a mess at the beginning that I didn't know how he was going to redeem himself. Mia was engaged to someone else when they met. I really didn't think that I was ever going to like Xavier. There were times that I had to stop reading because I would think "what a d**k!" Mia was really trying to keep herself together. She was not close to her father but she still listened to him on some things. She had her two best friends Taylor, who is Xavier's cousin, and Becca her roommate. She meets Xavier through Taylor and she thinks that he is attractive the moment she meets him. She tries to stay away from him because of her fiance, but he makes it hard for her to do so. They get off to a rocky start in their relationship but he eventually wins her over. There is also a mystery playing out between their families and it doesn't help with their relationship woes. In the end he redeems himself but boy were there some road blocks for them.
Darren
I loved this story also! Darren had a lot of trauma in his past and he was really messed up. He is in some legal trouble so he goes to see a lawyer. The lawyer's name is Jess and she is perfect for him. She has to go to his club to see what really happens there and she sees him. Even though they are both wearing mask they know the other on sight. Shortly after they meet Darren finds out that he is going to be a father. He is not with the woman that he got pregnant and she was going to give it up for adoption. In the meantime Darren and Jess get together. She leaves her fiance to move in with Darren. Due to Darren's past they have a lot of problems with his coping skills. I loved the way that they stuck by each other no matter what. In the end they decide to keep the baby and the mother was happy about that. She thought that Jess would make a great mother. Darren and Jess did not have the easiest time getting to where they were going but they didn't give up and made it through.
Cameron
I love the bond that the three brothers have! In Darren's story it seemed like Cameron was going to be the most sensitive brother. I liked that this part of the book had a little bit more about the brothers background. When the story first started I wasn't really liking Gina. But as the story unfolds you learn more about her circumstances. I really thought that she was an idiot for not leaving her husband sooner. I don't really know what I would have done in her situation. Some of the things that she said to Cameron were just mean and hurtful. He wanted to take care of her and she was being stubborn. By the end of the book I did finally like her though. We see more of the brother's family in this one also. I am glad that they all worked everything out in the end! They all deserved it :)
