Slasher fun for old folks

I actually really enjoyed this! It is truly diabolical to be a serial killer at a retirement home and the way this killer used medicines and set up the murders to look like it could have been just old age accidents, was both spine tingling and horrific! Especially as no one really took it seriously and even when some of the elderly there called family to escape the retirement home as the bodies piled up, their children had no room or time mostly. I think that is what really made the whole situation so terrible and knowing that even if there isn't a serial killer (hopefully) at retirement homes, it is incredibly sad about how people get there and are forgotten. I loved Rose and her friends! There were some quirky fun characters at the Autumn Springs Retirement home that I would have loved to get to know, though not while the killer was around. You have movie connoisseurs, witches who dabble in the dark arts, and friendly people who want to throw a party, or play bingo in the common rooms. All that makes them feel real and of course it twists the knife in when they start to die. But it also makes it easy to root for Rose and Miller as they try to figure out the who the killer is plus get someone to see the deaths as murders (which turns out to frustratingly heard at first!). It is a tried and true slasher story so be warned as it does contain some pretty horrific deaths, drug use, and a touch of the supernatural which was quite satisfying. Rose is a true final girl and I wish only the best for the rest of the golden years of the survivors of this terrible massacre!
