The Autistic Dragon

Dragons hatch out of their eggs in a massive cave. As they crawl out they choose a boy to bond with. Jack is a young boy who finds the noise of the cracking eggs and the screeches of the baby dragons too much and he hides in a mini cave.

One dragon is slow to come out of its shell. The newly hatched dragon also hates loud sounds and so they both end up in the same mini cave. If they bond they will be together for life and Jack who doesn't have any friends will have a dragon as his pal for the rest of his life.

Boys that bond with a dragon get to fly on them and go to Dragon School. The story portrays that both Jack, and Bluey the baby dragon have autistic traits. There are tips for turning fear into excitement and overcoming changes to routines, so that starting at a new school - Dragon School - is actually fun.
