The Attic Room

By S.J. Gibbs

When Jeanna arrives at the Hambleton mansion, she believes she's been given a second chance. Her role as personal assistant to the elegant but unsettling Lisa Hambleton promises stability, while caring for Lisa's quiet daughter, Clara, offers unexpected tenderness. But the house itself is a labyrinth of locked doors, whispered warnings, and unspoken rules.
Lisa's games grow sharper, her lies more sinister. Byron, Lisa's weary husband, hints at secrets buried in money and marriage. Clara whispers of the "last girl" who didn't listen. And when Jeanna receives a phone call from someone who should not know where she is, she realises her own past has followed her inside these walls.
In the shadows of the attic, Jeanna discovers the house's cruel history-and the truth about what Lisa does to those who cross her. Trapped between her employer's manipulations and the ghosts of her own mistakes, Jeanna must decide to remain the obedient servant or become something far darker to survive.
A chilling tale of power, obsession, and survival, The Attic Room is a gothic thriller where every locked door hides a choice-and every choice comes with a price.
