The Art of Understanding People

Occasionally, misunderstandings occur at different moments and levels when interacting with people or in their presence. As human behaviour is unpredictable, it is essential to know how to deal with it when adverse ones are exhibited. The solution is straightforward - through interaction and observation. By observing, we see what they might not be verbally able to explain, and by interacting, we can hear their concerns, learn about their perspectives and enhance our relationships with them.

If we know the factors that affect human behaviour, we may be better positioned to deal with people. By the end of this book, you will understand those factors. There are two key aspects to understanding people. The first is to analyse the basis of their behaviour and person, and the second is to bear with them, allowing love to overshadow their questionable behaviour and keep you from judgment, which is empathy.

Understanding people is more than knowing how to deal with or analyse people. It is more about offering love and overlooking wrongs, for understanding is established from love. However, despite the effort to make peace amicably, some will choose conflict over peace. I will not be surprised to find out this could be part of why the king, teacher and philosopher Solomon said: "There is time for everything under the sun, a time for war and peace..."
