The Art of Murder

(Book #1 in the A Parker Lee Mystery Series)

When journalist Parker Lee covers a national symposium on a local painter, she expects nothing but endless lectures and stuffy academics. Instead, she uncovers nasty rivalries, art theft, and - the biggest scoop of all - murder.

A stranger lurking around the Lakeview Inn discovers a long-lost painting by the local artist, Julia Larke. But is it the real thing? Someone must think so, because within hours a thief tries to snatch it - and leaves a dead body behind.

Now, Parker must expose the culprit, before the murder kills her beloved town's reputation.

In Allington, if your last name is Lee, murder's a family affair. Join Parker Lee and her big, quirky family for a cozy mystery set in the small town of Allington - a perfect setting for a puzzling murder.

A really great cozy mystery!!!!!

The Art of Murder By: M. P. Black Many, many years ago, I was given a picture. It was a simple mountain pine tree with loads of snow everywhere you looked. I can’t explain how many times this special piece of art managed to calm my frayed nerves, cheer me up & just keep me in the moment. The Art of Murder is an intriguing story of family & friends, cads & thieves, and….a murderer?! In this quaint artsy District that the author so visibly manages to share with their readers, the town of Allington is a place I would jump at the chance to go to! With a famous artist in their midst, townspeople & a national symposium, there’s sure to be all kinds of Personalities … actions… thoughts… …and surprises! This is a fun, cozy mystery read! Grab it! (By the way, about 35 years after I received my picture, I got the surprise of a lifetime when I wandered into a little gallery & there in the front hung a massive original of my little pine tree & snow. Then the artist himself walked out & he & I became fast friends! Literally, the most famous person I’ve met but it was almost supernatural. What a blessing!!! This real life experience gave me the chance to see how people in the book would’ve felt! Like in the presence of someone greater than themselves.)
