The art of Birlocho: Mabú & Lorenzo

Well, let me tell you that I like to sign my drawings by my pen name "Birlocho" because is easier to recognize me, not everybody knows that my real name is Mario. I am an Ecuadorian artist, born in a small city named Portoviejo, I love to draw female figures adding a Little bit of humor in the process, my work is based on real models and situations drawn in my own style and believe me when I say that I ve been drawing for 38 years and counting, I believe that I was born too early, or... maybe it was at the right moment, see... when I was a kid I used to dream of drawing using nothing but computers... you Know, with a "magic pen" with all the colours and brushes inside, something just impossible back in 1982; I had to wait almost 25 years and thousands of frustrating mouse drawing hours to make my dream come true. As I mentioned before (buy the other book) I got hooked by cartoons in my early years, a passion that continues till today. That's why I want to make a homage to those TV shows, movies and musicians that inspired me over the years. This fourth edition titled "the art of Birlocho" is nothing but a humble tribute to my childhood heroes, not all of them, because I d probably needed five hundred pages to include them all; so, welcome to Mab s fourth book.
