The most accurate and detailed Information provided

It is my wish that this book was in some way updated (it is my belief the Joseph Martin Hopkins has passed on since the late 1990's). The Armstrong Empire accurately and meticulously chronicles the doctrines, teaching and the culture of the Worldwide Church of God as it was prior to the denomination's major upheaval in 1974. The Worldwide Church of God has embraced historic Christian faith since the early 1990's and is considered "orthodox" but the Armstrong Empire is an excellent piece of material if one wants to know about Armstrongism. Armstrongism is still alive in the various splinters of the Worldwide Church of God today and the book is still valid for becoming a useful tool in giving thorough evidence that Armstrongism does not match up with the truth of Holy Scriptures.
