How can a man (a new convert) remain in an idle state without fasting and prayers? Why should a born again Christian, remain in a single state of evil without moving ahead spiritually? As I looked into the mystery of the Cross, I discovered a man (Christ) went to the Cross to purchase Salvation (this is a mystery), but not the armour (The belt of truth, The breastplate of righteousness, The shoes for the preparation of the gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, the sword of the spirit) Yes The armour has to be gotten through individual works (this is the sum of all mysteries). It is spiritual equipment that is needed to overcome the deceit of the devil in this world. Hence, the "Armour of God" will expose the reader on how and what to do in order to be equipped with this armour.
