The Ark is a relevant book for today’s youth.

This story takes place during WW11 when this young family flees into Germany. They land on a farm where they are taken in by a woman who farms and also raises Great Danes. The children help with the animals and dogs as the war rages on. It is the story of friendship and resilience in the face of great danger.
