The Ark of the Covenant

The Ark of the Covenant has always been considered the most important object of Christianity. God ordered Moses to build it to witness His divine presence among the Israelites, thus destined to become the "People of God". The Tablets of the Law, Aaron's staff, and a container with manna were stored in it. The track of the Ark has been lost for millennia. Many believe it is in Ethiopia, kept in the new Sancta Sanctorum of Axum, hidden from the world and shrouded in an inextricable mystery.
A tremendous earthquake, with its epicenter in Axum, devastates Ethiopia, bringing destruction, death, and disease. The losses are incalculable, but the worst is yet to come. Shortly thereafter, unexplained deaths caused by an abnormal presence of radiation in the air begin to occur, which risk further decimating the already tormented population.
Subsequent events will lead Santini and his team on the trail of the Ark of the Covenant to discover a fact that is now certain: the sacred artifact is out of control. Not only the Ethiopian people, but the whole of humanity could risk perishing under its terrifying destructive power.

Carlo Santi was born in Abano Terme (Padua) on the 19th of April 1963. He can boast an experience of over twenty years as trade union leader, first in the CISL and then in the CISAL. He has taught Labour Law in a high school from 1994 to 1995. He as written six novels, his speciality being historic thrillers and crime fiction. He also wrote an non-fiction work. Aside from his activity as a writer, he is self-employed in the editorial sector. In October 2010, he funded the CIESSE Edizioni, of which he is the editor in chief.
