After their parents died and lost the family fortune, Greg and Tony Anderson began operating a detective agency in Santa Barbara. They are hired to protect a rich scientist's beautiful, yet impetuous niece, but when they arrive on the recluse's privately owned South Pacific Island, they find more than they bargained for. They are immediately thrown into the middle of a sinister plan, which leads them and the niece from the civilized jungles of southern California to the untamed jungles of Borneo, with several stops along the way. This is a tale of adventure and scientific mystery, intertwined with a struggling romance that must fight against all odds to survive. A story reminiscent of Indiana Jones with a female Tarzan added in for spice.

My name is Theresa A. Perry. I was born in Miami and have called many places home - Maine, Texas, California, Arizona, Wisconsin - and I've traveled through the rest of the states and six countries beyond. Wherever I've been, one thing has stayed constant: my love of books. As a child, I was the one reading in libraries, classrooms, and even walking home from school with a book in hand.

I've always loved researching, exploring ideas, and solving puzzles. In the 1990s, my imagination sparked an action-packed story I just had to write. Life pulled me in other directions for a while, but the story never let go. With encouragement from my wonderful husband - an author himself - I finally decided it was time to bring it into the world (and keep him from getting too far ahead of me ).

This book is meant to entertain, to sweep you into a thrilling "what if" scenario. It wasn't written to predict the future - yet, surprisingly, its core idea feels closer to reality in today's age of artificial intelligence than I ever expected.
