The Hollow Architect looked up from her calculations. "Yes."

Sev has spent three years hunting the Hollow Architect - the cold, brilliant woman held responsible for unraveling the world's magical infrastructure. Vael - the woman behind the Hollow Architect's legend - has been building a twenty-year plan to restore the dying world. The destruction attributed to her was not vandalism. It was surgery. The calcified institutions hoarding the ley-lines could not be reformed; they had to fall so something could grow through the rubble. And the restoration she designed requires something the prophecy named long before either of them was born: a Tidewarden at the apex, and an anchor in the deep.

The Architecture of Ruin is a slow-burn enemies-to-lovers sapphic fantasy romance about two women who are both trying to save the same dying world and disagree, fundamentally, about what saving looks like. It is a book about what we build toward, what we name ourselves in service of a plan, and what it costs to let someone read what you actually wrote - not the official record, but the real thing.
The ley-lines are waiting. The convergence is coming. And the obstacle was always the point.
