The Apostolic Fathers (New Edition): Ancient Christian Writings from Clement, Ignatius, Polycarp, Didache and More

By Flint Publishing

What did Christianity look like before councils, creeds, and centuries of doctrine shaped the Church?

What did the first generation after the apostles actually believe, teach, and practice?

And what if the voices closest to Peter, John, and Paul could still speak today?

The Apostolic Fathers opens a rare window into the earliest days of the Christian faith through the authentic writings of the men who learned directly from the apostles themselves.

Long before church institutions were established and theological debates filled history books, leaders like Clement of Rome, Ignatius of Antioch, Polycarp of Smyrna, and the authors of the Didache and The Shepherd of Hermas guided believers with simple, powerful instruction rooted in lived faith, courage, and devotion to Christ.

These texts are not legends written centuries later.
They are the closest surviving witnesses to apostolic Christianity outside the New Testament.

Inside these pages, readers encounter:

Letters written by bishops who personally knew the apostlesPractical guidance on worship, prayer, communion, and daily Christian livingTeachings on unity, humility, persecution, and steadfast faithEarly church structure and leadership explained in their own wordsThe Didache, one of the oldest Christian manuals of instructionA clear, accessible presentation designed for both study and devotional reading
