Resilience is a fallacy. We speak of it as a gold standard for perseverance, but the truth is resilience has limits. After continuous bounce backs from setbacks, we get tired. It is like a spring. It works until the metal becomes exhausted and then it breaks. Anti-Fragile is an engineering discipline applied to human performance. We use setbacks as data to get stronger. It is more like a muscle. When a muscle tears, the repair process makes it stronger for the next test. Our own subconscious and our organizations can learn to use difficulties as data and use the date to move forward without the need to recover. It is a perspective first and then a practice. The Anti-Fragile Organizations will be stronger as everyone adapts to the dramatic changes arriving on a daily basis.
