A great start to the French Revolution

It is very hard to find a good book on the French Revolution that takes the revolution as a whole and analyzes each point. If you are starting out with the French revolution this is the book to start with. It was used as the main textbook for a class on the French Revolution and it did not disappoint. I have read many books that were on the "French revolution" before but all became bogged down in details and did not explain enough leaving holes. This book does it well and keeps it simple while still giving ample detail. It is a wonderfully written book and provides great excerpts of primary sources as well as pictures to illustrate its points.
