A great read

I was given this book on tape while in Montana on my mission. One of my former companions sent it to me when I was having a hard time. I have always thought Amulek was an unsung hero of the Book of Mormon. Anne Osborne Poelman put into words exactly why he was my favorite. She has a way of using Amulek's story along with her own experiences to encourage us today. When I was going through a rough patch again I pulled out the book on tape, listened again and then decided to order a hard copy along with her other book The Simeon Solution.

Simple but inspirational

As Poelman explains, one of the greatest gifts God has given us is our free agency. It may seem like a wonderful thing, and it truly is, but we would do well to remember that eve as we exercise it we are still in a world where we are overwhelmed with opportunities for good and evil. Through gospel and personal insight and stories, Poelman makes a great suggestions for ways in which we should live our lives, reminding us that consequences are real and constant. Her writing is emotional and descriptive, and this is sure to be most uplifting and inspirting.
