Sweet Amish Romance

The Amish Matchmaker by Amy Lillard is the second book in The Paradise Valley series. Although part of a series it is easily read as a stand-alone story. I enjoyed the story of Astrid and Imogene. Somehow Imogene thinks Astrid, a romance book author, is a matchmaker and comes to her for help finding a husband and father for her twin boys. And the mixed-up fun begins. Things just get more and more muddled but Ms. Lilliard pulls it all together for a fun and charming happily-ever-after story. Some rambunctious kids and puppies, lonely widowed characters, lots of twin-ness!, humor and romance make this a book for readers who enjoy Amish romance stories. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the Paradise Valley series. I read a complimentary copy of the book and was not required to write a positive review. The opinions are my own.

Amish Romance

This is a Clean Amish Romance, and this is the second book in the Paradise Valley series. I did read the first book in this series, but this book can be read as a standalone without any problem. The characters for the first book do not show up until about half way through the book, and this book takes place mostly in the next town over. I missed the connections to the first book in the beginning. I found this book took forever to get going, and I found the storyline was slow moving. I did like the characters. I found the little boys that were twins were just so cute, and they got into so much. The twins kept the story lively. Also, this book has a lot of the characters not really talking or sharing with each other important things which is one thing I really do not love in a book. I did find the ending to be so cute, and I felt the story truly came full circle. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
