The Amish Mapmaker

By Rebecca Alder

Sometimes love follows unexpected roads.

Martha Petersheim loves drawing maps. Her hand-drawn maps help visitors find the hidden treasures of Lancaster County.

Then she meets Gideon Helmuth, a talented Amish farrier whose eyesight was damaged in a terrible accident. He fears he will lose the forge he has worked so hard to build.

Martha creates bold drawing templates that help Gideon work again. As they spend time together, friendship slowly turns into love.

But not everyone approves. Rumors begin to spread. Martha's father fears she is risking both her future and her reputation.

Can Martha and Gideon trust God to guide them when the road ahead seems uncertain?

A heartwarming Amish romance about faith, hope, second chances, and discovering that God's plans are always better than our own.
