Much better than many other US Textbooks

Being a high school history teacher, you often have to work with the textbooks you are given over the books you would like. Luckily while rummaging through a forgotten closet at my school I came across a class set of this text. The book offers detailed information in a very approachable manner for the students. This is something that is often a trade off in most other high school texts. Case in Point, the latest edition of America: Pathways to Present is easy for students to read but it is very light on information (example: the American Revolution is covered in roughly 3 pages) While other books such as the American Pageant or Nation of Nations has a lot of detail to the point of being extraneous. The Americans has found that middle ground offering solid insight, strong section and chapter reviews, as well as teacher resources such as tests and worksheets that while some what rudimentary can be used for creating excellent laddered DBQ's. Worth checking out for a supplemental read.
