The Ambivalent Prophet

By Bela Gary

Sage, a lonely scientist, has dreams and visions she can't explain. She longs for real human connection and creative freedom in a digital society that discourages both. The Leadership, a self-appointed, oppressive government, controls the citizens through the pervasive use of AI. Her dreams and visions intensify, transforming from magical tales into disturbing nightmares. When a group of rebels asks her to inspire a revolution by sharing her visions, she denies that she can predict the future. As her dreams begin to unfold in the real world, will Sage accept her gifts and help the rebels prevent humanity's annihilation?
