The Ally Code
In the hidden rat underworld beneath Tokyo, rules are the only thing keeping the city from tearing itself apart.
Scratch is a collector for the powerful Mojo clan. His job is simple: collect debts, enforce respect, and never cross the line that matters most.
No killing.
When a routine collection ends with a civilian rat dead from poison, Scratch becomes the obvious suspect. The victim carried Scratch's signature three-line mark, and the Mojo leadership moves quickly to protect its reputation.
Scratch is given one day to accept his punishment.
Instead, he decides to prove he was framed.
Cut off from his clan, hunted by the law, and surrounded by rats who may want him silenced, Scratch follows a trail of poison, hidden notes, strange clues, and dangerous secrets through the forgotten spaces beneath modern Tokyo.
Someone knew exactly how the Mojo clan would react.
Someone used Scratch's reputation against him.
And somewhere in the city is the rat who really broke the Alley Code.
The Alley Code is the first book in The Rats Of Tokyo, a fast-paced underground crime adventure filled with sword-carrying rats, rival factions, mystery, action, and a hidden Tokyo most humans will never see.
