The Affliction: Provenance

By M.J. Petrin

Reality is breaking. Humanity just doesn't know why.

Bends Creek, Mississippi, is the kind of town where everyone knows their neighbors and nothing extraordinary ever happens. Until one ordinary morning, when an impossible phenomenon transforms the lives of its residents-and shatters everything they thought they knew about reality.

As panic spreads through the town, Sheriff Bill Jackson finds himself struggling to hold his community together while scientists, the CDC, and the federal government race to explain an event that defies every known law of science. Every new discovery raises more questions than answers, and every attempt to contain the crisis only reveals a deeper mystery.
What begins as an isolated incident soon captures the attention of the entire world. Governments prepare for the worst. Faith and science collide. Conspiracy theories ignite. And hidden beyond humanity's understanding, forces long set in motion begin to reveal themselves.

Bill and those around him must uncover the truth before fear tears civilization apart-but some mysteries were never meant to be solved.

The Affliction: Provenance is a gripping science fiction thriller that blends suspense, mystery, conspiracy, first-contact intrigue, and unforgettable characters into a story that continually raises the stakes. Perfect for fans of Blake Crouch, Douglas E. Richards, A.G. Riddle, and Michael Crichton, this is the first installment in an epic series where every answer uncovers a far greater mystery.

Some discoveries change history.

This one changes humanity.
