The Adventures of Mira, Guy and Shiloh

By Izelle McHugh

Mira, Guy & Shiloh is a warm, whimsical, and adventure-filled children's story about three unlikely friends who discover courage, belonging, and the magic hidden in the everyday world.

When Mira, a small grey monkey with a gentle heart, rescues a trembling abandoned puppy, she loses her troop but gains a family. Guy grows into a loyal, brave companion, carrying Mira on his back everywhere they go. Their quiet farm life changes forever when Shiloh - a dramatic, pampered Maine Coon cat - escapes from a holiday visitor's travel cage and disappears into the thicket.

Determined to help the frightened runaway, Mira and Guy follow him into the unknown. What begins as a rescue becomes a journey across velds, streams, willow trees, barns, and magical places filled with unforgettable characters: colourful Angora goats, giggle-bees, a donkey who talks too much, a broody hen with twelve chicks, and even fairies and elves attending a secret midnight ball.

Through danger, humour, wonder, and unexpected friendship, the trio learns to trust one another and themselves. Their bond deepens as they face challenges together - until Shiloh finally finds his way home, bringing Mira and Guy with him into a world of love, safety, and belonging.

Filled with sensory detail, gentle humour, and emotional truth, Mira, Guy & Shiloh is a heart-warming tale that celebrates kindness, courage, and the families we choose. Perfect for young readers and for parents who love sharing magical stories at bedtime.
