The Adventures of Lucky Lewis is told from the perspective of Heny Lewis' friend Tony Callahan. It starts in Houston, Texas where both meet while joining the Navy and evolves from there. Lucky is a product of his own mishaps which always tend to end in his favor. This book travels with Tony and and Henry (who quickly becomes Lucky in the book) through their exploits on the ship's route between Halifax and the Caribbean and even takes them to London for a meeting with the Queen. The story will resonate with anyone that has done time in the military, especially the Navy, but will also appeal to anyone who likes to read about teenagers coming of age, experiencing different cultures and finding themselves in the middle of a lot of historical events that are highlighted. This story is written in the vein of Forest Gump with a ton of references to different automobiles (namely Chevrolet), airplanes and references that anyone whoever served in the Navy will instantly identify with. This book is inspired by my dad's time in the Navy, but the stories are heavily embellished for the purposes of entertainment. It also infuses stories from my time in the US Air Force which I have modified to fit this time and place.
