But he soon learns that, like the pretend sword he wields, The Lie is double-edged and cuts both ways. Allan Burd's original story is told in verse and teaches a valuable life lesson within the context of an engaging and entertaining story. Very highly recommended for school and community library collections, The Adventures Of Little Al: The Lie is enhanced for young readers ages 5 to 10 with a glossary, as well as lively and colorful illustrations by Lisa Linbrunner.
