The Adventures of Jock the Dormouse

The story centres on a day when a farmer finds a young dormouse on his own. One thing leads to another, and soon the dormouse is introduced to a caring family in the northeast of Scotland. After a visit to the vet, it's found that the species is of the male variety. The family then come up with a name, and through time, Jock, as he is called, gets into some scraps with his friends that he knew in the field when the farmer found him. On one of the days, the family's son, Eric, takes Jock out on his bike for more fun filled incidents. The family take to their small friend, and he enjoys a lifestyle far superior to any of his kind. Jock is a loyal and thoughtful friend to the Bruce family, so much so, they don't like to leave him at home too often, especially at weekends
