Paul Allen Austin was about to start his first year at Morton Ranch Middle School and his weekend could not have gotten worse. He was recently diagnosed with cancer and aside from stiffness and tenderness around his joints, his energy level was low at times. His condition was not getting better. Worse than that was the fact that during the summer, his best friend Tub had moved away from their Castle Rock subdivision in Katy, Texas to Houston. However, worst of all, and what had him wanting to run away and join the circus, was that his home internet was turned off.
Now...he was going to potentially become bed ridden any day now, have zero friends at his new school and miss the annual (VGW) Virtual Game Wars competition. Just when he was sure his life was over, he got a visit from Grandpa John. From that day his life - or his weekend at least - would spin into a direction that he could have never imagined. However just when things were looking up, they took a dramatic turn down, and Paul had to figure it all out or fail one adventure at a time.
