The Accidental Florist

What a treat to finally see Jane and Mel marry! Great job, Jill. I loved the interaction of the in-laws and the way Jane handled it all.

Great Story

first of all, I really like this author's titles. she takes an everyday phrase or saying and substitues a word which both gets you laughing and suggests either a murder in the offing or a reason for one. This title is actually the nearest thing one could call to an exception to that interesting method of titling books. I made the mistake of reading Linda Shelnutt's review before beginning mine and I have to say the lady said everything i wanted to...said it better...then said more than even occurred to me. To save reader fatigue i will simply say I agree with her comments 100% Definitely a good buy as those chilly fall and winter evenings approach!

The best in the series

As a long time fan of Jill Churchill's "Jane Jeffrey" series, I couldn't wait for the latest instalment. It was worth the wait. I have to disagree with the reviewers who didn't find this book as strong as others in the series - to me, it is the best so far. Yes, there is less mystery and more of Jane's personal life, but this only adds to the book's enjoyment. Fans of the series will also be delighted that Jane finally stands up to Thelma, her ghastly mother-in-law. Sadly, though, it did feel as if this is the last in the series, with the children growing up, Jan and Mel finally tying the knot, and Jane's new career as a published author taking off. I do hope this is not the last one - please, Jill Churchill, keep writing about Jane - I want to find out what happens next!

The Accidental Florist

I love Jill Churchill's books and this one doesn't disappoint. There were a few different things going on, but they flowed easily and Churchill tied them together well.
