This book threw a curve ball at me right away; not that it wasn't a good read, but more educationally geared into examining Elizabeth Taylor's movies and how She chose to interpret Her roles. A moderate read if you want to grasp all the insight the author chooses to include with Her breakdown of key roles. Ms. Taylor was a true artist, who displayed passion in whoever She was portraying. I own 9 of Her better films and plan to add 4 more to my collection after reading this book. She was a true * in every sense of the word. In the early 60's She earned a million $'s for Cleopatra; Richard Burton only received $500,000.00 dollars for His portrayal of Marc Anthony. Prior to that His highest salary was $125,000.00 per picture; but all in all I learned things about Ms. Taylor that I was previously unaware of. You'll enjoy this book if you keep an open mind and just take in what the author wants to convey; That is, "There is only 1 Elizabeth Taylor and we will probably never see the likes of Her again".
Happy Reading!
