He also must tend to the needs of congregation and parent his children. The Accident is a mystery novel with religious, psychological, and philosophical themes as well. It delves into the challenges of marriage and the pains of depression. The setting is coastal North Carolina. The scenes will be familiar to those who either live in or visit the eastern part of the state.
