The year is 1974 and thirteen- year- old Andrew is fishing in the river during his summer holidays. He suddenly has a sighting of a Lancaster plane flying high above him. The pilot is pointing to an old oak tree nearby and looking in his direction. Curious, he goes home to his parents and explains what he saw and whilst his mum believes him, his dad totally dismisses it. Andrew, not to be discouraged does some research at the local Library and visits his estranged Auntie and his grandmother who is a war widow to try and find out some more information. Was it just a ghostly sighting, or would it uncover an underlying mystery waiting to be resolved?
