The ABCs of Walking in the Way isbased on Psalm 119, which is the longest of all the psalms, having 176 verses divided into twenty-two strophes or paragraphs. The title of the book is derived from the fact that each line of each strophe of the psalm begins with a letter of the Hebrew alphabet, beginning with the first letter called the "Alef" and ending with the last letter "Tav"-thus, the ABCs. Verse, one pronounces a blessing on the blameless-"who walk in the way of the law of the Lord." This book is not a verse-by-verse study of the Psalm but the outgrowth of sermons preached on Psalm 119. The chapters are not transcripts of the sermons, and no attempt has been made to reproduce the exact language of the oral presentations. The work is not only suitable for private devotions and group study, but it also provides the busy preacher with nearly six months of sermons.
