I am a Chinese writer currently residing in Singapore. I have previously published two full-length espionage novels in China.
This is a new work of mine-a light urban science fiction novel that explores the profound impact of artificial intelligence on human existence. The novel was translated into English by myself and further refined with the assistance of AI tools.
Set against the backdrop of an era dominated by advanced technologies such as AI, the story depicts how the widespread integration of these innovations leads to massive unemployment, triggering severe social issues. In order to safeguard their right to survive, humans try every possible means to preserve their jobs and ensure that human civilization can continue to exist, develop, and pass on.
This is not a distant scenario, but a pressing reality that humanity is already beginning to face. The novel raises a critical question that demands serious reflection from all of humanity: Will the advancement of technology ultimately be a blessing or a curse for mankind?
The author hopes this work will provoke thoughtful discussion among readers and inspire collective efforts to seek solutions-and ultimately, find the answer.
