Therefore, in no way do I claim that this is an objective list that truly portrays the 100 most important people in history. This is because, obviously, there are no specific criteria that define a list like this. A criterion can use objective factors (such as the number of citations in historical documents), but the choice of criterion, first and foremost, is subjective in itself - it depends on the tastes and choices of the person making the list.
