New York Sports At Its Best

If you're a New York sports fan than this book is for you. Whether you like the Yankees or the Mets, Giants or the Jets, it is a book for all New York sports lovers. Author Stuart Miller knows his New York sports and should be considered a New York sports historian. If you live for going to New York sporting events and want to remember the best times in New York sports then pick up this book. You won't be disappointed. Stuart still knows his New York sports. [...] Pick up this book, it'll bring you back to the grandest times in New York sports history.

Greatest ever

I have been reading sports since 1933, and Stuart Miller's 100 Greatest IS the greatest sports writing ever. A masterly performance. I was wishing it had been 200, or even 1000.

Must have for NY Sports Fans

Whether you have 5 minutes or 5 hours of free time, this book will entertain, inform, and perhaps even infuriate you (if you disagree with the author's list!). As a sports fan, I've heard numerous accounts of some of the most storied events in NY sports history, but I've never wanted to read an entire book on any of these historic moments. Well, here's the answer. In only a few pages (for each event), Miller cuts to the chase and masterfully retells the story as if you were there. The icing on the cake is the "bonus" lists he includes, such as the best and worst trades by New York teams. All told, this is one book that won't collect dust on my shelf.
