A Fine Frog

My 15 month old really enjoys the "That's Not My..." series. They give her added tactile interest without lift-the-flap disasters, which simply result in a ruined book. This book in particular is of the same quality as the rest of the series, and each frog is identifiable as a frog with its individual peculiarities. I think it helps her to learn that things can be similar without being exactly the same. The funny thing is, my daughter gets more excited about the companion mouse, and where it is on the page, than the featured animal sometimes! My only gripe is that in the world of board books, which are expensive to begin with, this series has some of the priciest.
