That Week in June is a romantic, erotic, dramatic, and witty adult fiction novel that tells the story of protagonist, Callie McCoy, a beautiful, young, determined lawyer who is finding her way through love and relationships in her 20s. When Callie finds her boyfriend, J.P., who she met in law school at the University of Iowa and now lives with in Des Moines, Iowa, cheating on her with a partner at his law firm, she kicks him out of her apartment and her life. Callie decides to spend time with her parents at their home in Okoboji, Iowa, a resort area, dubbed "The Hamptons of Iowa," that is home to the Iowa Great Lakes about 4 hours from Des Moines. During the week of vacation with her parents, she reconnects with Paul Johnson, who was two years ahead of her in high school and now lives in Okoboji. He moved to Okoboji from Denver, Colorado this past year and now owns a home on West Lake. They go out on a date and sparks fly. They spend the rest of the week, mostly naked and having steamy sex, which then leads them to decide that they would like to continue dating after the week is over, even if it is long-distance. However, it isn't long before drama ensues and Callie is torn in many different directions, including two men who she can't get enough of in and out of the bedroom.
