That Old Gang Of Mine

This short but factual book is my biography. It is based on my life growing up in the City of Philadelphia; namely South Philly. My parents were immigrants from Italy; they had a pretty rough time trying to make it as did so many others immigrating from Europe. I was one of a large family consisting of 8 brothers and 2 sisters. Money was tough to come by. We moved around the city from time to time trying to find affordable housing and more or less just trying to make it. The book actually starts when I was ten years old at the start of the second world war. I kicked around with a gang of kids in the same boat as I trying to make it through some very tough times. The book continues through my teenage years up until the 1950's when I was drafted into the Army in 1953. In 1955 after getting released from the service and returning to that old gang of mine; it was never the same. Fascinating reading for young and old!!
