Truth be told, Barb'ra is a little crazy-crazy about a boy named Hubert Clumpty! Adapted from an acclaimed children's song first performed on stage by entertainer Danny Kaye, this funny, spunky look at a mad crush is sure to evoke smiles of recognition from crush-er and crush-ee alike. Kids may root for the put-upon Hubert, but the demonstrative and plucky Barb'ra is sure to have her fans as well. After all, "love" can make anyone a little wacky!
Crazy Barb'ra is more like "crushing" Barb'ra! She definitely has some puppy love going on for little Hubert Clumpty. Following him around, hanging on him at school, teasing him--all signs of a litle girl with a crush. Although it's a funny story type-set with a childlike scrawl and big, bold pictures, parts of it are a little creepy--like when Barb'ra steals Hubert's clothes when he's skinny dipping. Personally, I'd be a tad bit worried about a child that young swimming alone and naked. If you disregard that, though, this is a pretty cute bedtime story.
