On the window of the door outside the 47th Combat Support Hospital in Mosul Iraq is a mural which included the words, 'The Ride of Your Life'. Come join COL Faucette in his book, Thanks From Iraq, as... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is a very interesting account of Dr. Faucette's experiences and observations in Iraq. The format is "letters to home" so the content is largely acceptable for readers of any age. I would highly recommend it to anyone who would like to gain a first hand account of life as a US servicemember health-care-provider in Iraq.
Must read book!

In reading COL Faucette's book, Thanks from Iraq, I had no idea what to expect...would he be able to answer for me if we should be in Iraq, would he be able to tell me stories that made me feel like I was there with him, would there be some stories that were hard for me to hear? The answer is yes to the questions, with the exception that every reader has to make his/her own opinion if we should be in Iraq by what COL Faucette writes about. For someone like me that has no idea of what is REALLY happening in Iraq, not just what the news reports, this book was educational, enlightening, emotional, and inspiring...one that I have shared already with many of my friends and collegues. It was a book I couldn't put down, and was wanting more stories to hear when I was done...I hope that COL Faucette will write us another book!
Great book - worth your time

This is a fantastic book that will enlighten you, touch your heart and let you experience the ups and downs of being deployed. It will make you laugh, cry, and lift you for the next day. It tells the story that you will not hear on the news. It is a book you will want to share with others and is certainly worth your time. If you know someone who is in the military or has ever served, they will want to read this book, but it is also for anyone who is proud of America and our soldiers. COL Faucette found so many things to be thankful for even at a time of war in the far away country of Iraq. Don't let this one pass you by. I admit that I am the author, but the feedback has been overwhelming by those who have read this book. Thank you for your support.
