Thanks Amerika - You set me free

This book shows how the author came into this country and fell in love with the USA. It is written very personal. In this book the author explains the challenges she encountered in moving from Germany to a whole new world.From being prejudice she fell in love with the lifestyle. From culinary to cultural differences this book compares the adjustments the author and her family made in order to assimilate into the American society. Through the freedom and encouragement she found in her new land, she found herself, be herself and discovered a real relationship with God. In Germany it is still a society of differrent levels while in America everybody can become what he or she is and what he or she wants to be. This book is about the American spirit and the freedom associated with it. It explores the capabilities to grow and prosper as an individual regardless of background and societal pressures. The book will give the reader an understanding, why the author became a full fledged American like so many other immigrants.
