The present study of this thesis deals with the importance of human element in the corporate retail sector. In the novel economy, human capital is the foundation of value creation. In most cases, it becomes an asset which is the most important but at the same time, the least understood and measured. Particularly in the case of retail organization, the human capital is the asset which very often is the starting point of the interaction between the retailer and the customer. The success of a retail firm undoubtedly depends on its workforce.
